Safer and direct active travel connections are proposed to and from Rawlett School from both within the Site and with the wider catchment area to the south and west. The proposals include dedicated walking and cycling routes through the Site and safer crossing points across Coton Lane.
The proposals include extensive areas of new Public Open Space including a children’s play area, together with new tree planting, landscaping and habitats for wildlife to ensure a net gain in biodiversity across the site, with the retention and integration of existing hedgerows being a key aspect of the proposals.
The proposals will incorporate high quality design that respects the local character, with materials and styles that complement the surrounding area. Our aspirations are to create a development that will be attractive, well thought through and a nice place to live in.
Our Water Management Strategies complement the open space design and will be implemented through the introduction of Sustainable Drainage Systems to manage surface water runoff effectively.
